KUIH BUNGA PUDAK KEDAH



                                   

 





Kuih Bunga Pudak is a kind of kuih asli in Kedah, especially in the northern part of Kedah such as Alor Star, Jitra and the surrounding areas. The Kedah people living in the southern and eastern regions may not know or do not know how to cook this cake. The rice is sold in traditional cake shops especially in Pekan Rabu, Alor Star. This cake is named after the Pokok Pudak flower. The material used to make this cake is easy to find but the way of making this cake is not as simple as it is thought. This cake is a cake of the people and the making of this cake requires a high skill technique to get the produce quality.


Bottom line:
1 grated coconut milk
1 cup of sugar
a little bit of salt
a little rosemary
red / yellow / green dye
The material for the skin
1 pack of glutinous flour
1 cup water
1 teaspoon of salt


How to create it:
1. Mix all the ingredients for the core and fry with a simple fire.
Stir until dry.
2. Cover all the ingredients for the skin and leave 1/2 hour.
3. Prepare the pan with moderate heat. Take a second batch of flour
put in a coffee filter and turn the flour into the flour
The frying pan is round the flour.
4. Insert the centerpiece and then fold it into square.
5. Immediately, then lift up. Swipe to make it up.
6. Suitable for evening drink and this cake can be stored in a container
airtight and durable.
